BRICKARP Project

The main properties of Brickarp system are:
Resistant
The material and design are manufactured from recycled plastic blocks; the walls possess the ability to be highly earthquake resistant, a condition that makes them comparatively superior to the constructions that are made with materials traditionally used.

Durable
Building houses with the BRICKARP system is not only resistant, but highly durable, as it supports direct impacts, erosion caused by exposure to wind, sun, water, and insect attacks and even pathogens such as bacteria, fungus and alike.

Thermo - Acoustics
The material and chemical composition of the blocks become insulated from the cold or heat, keeping construction within a constant average temperature, which allows the construction to have an excellent thermal behavior.

The strong grips create a natural barrier against noise, water and wind.

Guarantee
The BRICKARP system is made from recycled plastic and warranty extends to the terms of biodegradation of the raw material, estimated at 3,000 years.

FEATURES
The recycled plastic blocks containing Polyolefin are
thermoplastic of high rigidity, crystalline,a high melting point
and possess excellent chemical resistance.
The blocks are lightweight modular and can be fitted with ease;
 it doesn’t required skilled labour.

TRANSPORT
Recycled plastic blocks BRICKARP are lightweight and compact,
allowing transport to any distance with ease, facilitating
their placement in any geographic location.
It also can be stored without fear of spoilage.

BUILDING SYSTEM
The construction system operates by anchoring systems and
assembly of the blocks supported by beams and columns of the same
material and fastened with metal screws, which requires no glue,
which translates into a substantial comparative gain and added value
over other products currently offered in the construction industry.

MODULES
This system does not require any glue, cement or sand either, which means again in comparative added value over other products currently offered in the construction sector.

PIPE
Each of the blocks, in the center of the inner vertical surfaces, have four equidistant holes and interns in which to attach the configured block products allowing for embedded electrical and hydraulic networks.[1]

CONCLUSION
The idea is to partner with BRICKARP project, learn the method of development in order to appropriating this, take it and develop it in Chile with CENFA, not only Chile also in other countries such as Japan, Nigeria, Ecuador, among other countries with areas affected by earthquakes.

QUESTIONS

-What can we do with all the recycled material? We have found a lot of ideas like a plastic recycled brick, that is like a normal brick but is friendly with the envivorment

-What os the cost of the process TO create the plastic bricks

-How we can keep the contact with the ONG cenfa

-How can the bricks create a new trend in the architecture  and constucion

Cenfa and the plastic bricks

Cenfa is a enterprise dedicated to recycle plastic bottles with the company named RECIPET, both companies are in chile. The objective is promove the recycle of bottles and blaze a trail to build structures with recyclable materials, especially plastic bottles.

Cenfa only recycle the bottles, but the idea is change the method of recycle, convert the reuse in the creation of bricks using the same material, in this case the material is the plastic. Instead of using bottles to convert in more bottles, you can obtain materials to build a different structures with the conversion of the same materials...
